La asociación cinematográfica ya había comunicado que el 2012 fue un gran año para el cine japonés, consiguiendo una recaudación record.
Hoy se ha dado a conocer que además 39 títulos han conseguido recaudar más de 1 billón de yen en el mercado doméstico.
Muchos de los títulos tienen vinculación con el mundo del manga y/o anime, no obstante uno de los títulos más relevantes "One Piece Film Z" se ha estrenado el 15 de diciembre, por lo que la mayoría de su recaudación se ha producido en 2013.
